Cookies

In the United States typically a cookie is a small, flat, round cake.  Outside the United States, many times the term used for this type of product is a “biscuit”.  A cookie can be baked until crisp and crunchy or just long enough to remain soft.  Cookies are made in many varieties using many different techniques, ingredients and recipes.  A basic cookie recipe includes flour, shortening, baking soda (or powder), milk and sugar.
