George Dunbar, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, has over 47 years of experience in his field. George began Dunbar Systems, Inc. over 26 years ago after seeing the need for a service that wasn’t being provided for the wholesale bakery equipment industry. With George’s decades of experience, he was able to provide wholesale bakers a venue that would allow them to bring their ideas from a concept to a reality. Now with over 123 major bakery lines sold and installed in the last 26 years, Dunbar Systems, Inc. has become one of the leaders in the baking industry.
Mark Dunbar, Executive Vice President/Owner, has over 23 years of engineering and sales experience at Dunbar Systems, Inc. Mark previously held the positions of Project Engineer and Vice President of Sales. Mark’s experience in designing bakery systems has assisted our customers in developing their own unique systems. Mark is an active member in ABA, BEMA, ASB, Bakers Courtesy Club and is serving on the board of the Baker’s Club of Chicago. Mark has sold numerous successful equipment implementations over the past 16 years.
Mike Dunbar, Executive Vice President/Owner, has over 19 years of engineering and sales experience at Dunbar Systems, Inc. Mike previously held the positions of Project Engineer and Vice President of Sales. Mike’s extensive experience in the industry and his knowledge from studies at American Institute of Baking have made him a tremendous asset to the company. Mike is an active member in ABA, BEMA, ASB, Bakers Courtesy Club and Baker’s Club of Chicago. Mike has sold numerous successful equipment implementations over the past 13 years.
James Diver, Vice President of Operations, has over 45 years of experience in the Baking Industry; previously holding engineering and sales positions with Pulver Systems, Stewart Systems and Formost Packaging. Jim is an active member in many bakery organizations including ASB, BEMA, Bakers Courtesy Club of Chicago, Chicago Bakers Club, AIB – Advisory Committee for Sanitation and IBA.
Jim Klein, Director of Project Management, has over 19 years of engineering and project management experience in the Baking Industry; previously holding engineering and project management positions with Rykaart. Jim has been responsible for managing over 39 successful “turn-key” bakery system installations for Dunbar Systems, Inc.
Gerald Doherty, Executive Advisor, has over 42 years experience in the Baking Industry. As a graduate of Kansas University, Jerry brings a lot of experience and knowledge to Dunbar Systems, Inc. Jerry first came to Dunbar Systems, Inc. as a customer over 40 years ago while employed at Sara Lee Bakery. After over 25 years with Sara Lee – Jerry moved on to Mission Foods in Los Angeles. It was at Mission Foods, while he was serving as Vice President of Engineering, that Jerry “built” one of the world’s largest Tortilla plants. In 1996 Dunbar Systems, Inc. was fortunate enough to make Jerry a part of our team – where he has served as President and currently Executive Advisor.
Dunbar Systems, Inc. employs over 20 professionals with 450+ years of experience in Bakery Engineering, Sales and Operations and has sales in excess of $ 30,000,000 per year.
